Alysha Newman, the gold medal-winning pole vaulter

Alysha Newman is a Canadian pole vaulter.

She was born on June 29, 1994, in London, Ontario.

Newman began pole vaulting at the age of 16.

In 2018, she won a gold medal in the pole vault at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

Her winning jump was 4.75 meters, which set a new Commonwealth Games record.

Newman has also set Canadian records in the pole vault, with a personal best of 4.82 meters.

She has competed in several international competitions, including the Olympics and the World Championships.
